Welcome to my Blogging World

I genuinely know almost nothing about blogging. In fact, I find social media and technology rather confusing. I'm much happier with my hands wrist deep in a new recipe for skin care, or talking to my plants in the garden. That being said, I am going to give this a whirl, because there is just so much I want to share with the world!

Herbs from the garden: Catnip, Peppermint, Feverfew & Rue

Who am I, exactly?

Not so many decades ago, being an herbalist was not really a profession in the United States where I was born, and it still isn't a recognised profession, although it is becoming more recognised to be sure. Here in Europe it's a bit different, but still herbalists are not really a thing.

I never really cared.

I loved making medicines from the time I was a girl - starting with herbal teas, then making ointments, to tinctures, syrups and capsules! The only thing that mattered was to help people, and in that I have succeeded.

The definition of a true herbalist, to me, is one who has changed the lives of others for the better. Design a formula or recipe that changes a life, and you never want to do anything else!

I've spend the past 30 years exploring herbal medicine, from the time I was a young woman. In that time, I've learned a lot, and every day brings new discoveries. Here in Italy, for the first time in my life, I have my own garden, a warm sun, and time to grow every plant I could wish for.

So send me your questions, ask me about those social media posts promising an easy cure for what ails you.

I am happy to give you straight answers, practical solutions and suggestions for the best way to truly benefit your life with herbal medicine that works.

May Salus smile upon you,
